Funded by Status of Women Canada, the two-year project on Moving-Up Underemployed Professional Immigrant Women, has come to an end this February.
To mark the conclusion of this project, ISANS are hosting a forum to share an overview of the project initiatives and how far they have come. The forum will include a presentation featuring recommendations and the tools and strategies to implement change. Successful professional immigrant women will speak about their experiences, and some champion employers in the region will give testimonials and talk about their best practices.
Our President and CEO Ulrike Bahr-Gedalia will participate as a guest speaker on the employer panel discussion. Ulrike was an elected Project Committee Member preceding this Forum for the past two years. The other speakers on the panel are Kevin Sullivan from Nova Scotia Power, Angela McMaster from Dalhousie, Joyce Mal from Northwood and the discussion will be moderated by Denise Poirier from Stantec Engineering.
Together we can create opportunities for growth, development and support for immigrant women.
This event is FREE but seating is limited so please register ASAP!
