The President and Founder of ISL, Malcolm Fraser, has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEO’s of 2010.
The award, given by Atlantic Business Magazine, is based on the nominee's corporate, community and industry involvement; their company’s growth in recent years; and their responses to various managerial challenges.
“It is an honour to be named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEO’s,” Fraser stated. “To be recognized by a group of your peers is one the best awards you can get.”
Web Marketing Leadership Fraser has been a leader in the web marketing industry for over 15 years and has been recognized nationally for his innovative approach to the application of technology. He founded ISL in 1995 and has been instrumental in growing it into one of Canada’s most established web marketing and development companies. What began as a two-person operation, now employs a team of 30, and serves clients across Canada.
Community Dedication Malcolm shows great dedication and enthusiasm for the community in which he lives. In addition to providing leadership to ISL, he serves on the on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies and the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
He is an advisor to such organizations as the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development. He is a founding member and Chair of Citizens for Halifax and has held prior roles with the Information Technology Association of Nova Scotia (ITANS, now DigitalNS), the Canadian ICT Federation and the Nova Scotia Premier’s Council on Innovation.
Presentation of the awards took place at a gala event at Halifax’s World Trade and Convention Centre on May 12th.
