Digital Nova Scotia will be universally recognized as a major contributor to the growth and development of Nova Scotia's Digital Technologies Industry. All Digital Technology organizations will be members of Digital Nova Scotia because of its role as "The Voice of the Digital Industry".

Mission

Digital Nova Scotia mission is to promote the growth and development of the Digital Technologies Industry in Nova Scotia through the sharing of experiences, internal and external collaborations, and disseminating Digital Technology opportunities and information.

Objectives

Digital Nova Scotia is a non-profit organization representing companies and individuals involved with Nova Scotia's Digital Technology industry which includes:

• Software design, development, production, and distribution
• IT Consulting
• System Integration
• Telecommunications
• Multimedia, New Media, Gaming and Simulation
• Networks
• Computer Manufacturing and Distribution
• Supportware Manufacturing and Distribution
• IT Education
• Plus interest groups in Finance, Law, Accounting, and Government

Digital Nova Scotia key role is to facilitate business and advocacy for its members through:

• Building and maintaining an active, representative industry association.
• Facilitating opportunities to associate and develop strategic relationships with colleagues in the industry, locally, nationally, and internationally, and hosting formal and informal conferences, seminars, partnering, and social events that help to keep all members current and "in the know".
• A commitment to developing relevant training and education programs for members, and to working with academic institutions to ensure there is an appropriate educational focus to support industry requirements.
