1) Lakes, pools, warehouses, almost none of it used: Data in Industry

Ernest Earon, PhD, EVP AI Rein Technologies

We have all heard about the information economy and the IoT transformation. There are now more connected devices than people. Does that mean that industry is awash in useful, deep, insight from the terabytes per trip from modern vehicle telematics, or the millions of images of farm fields from drones? Sadly, the answer is no. In particular, many problem domains don’t really know the potential of data analytics, and of those who do, even fewer really know how to do something meaningful. Dr. Earon’s talk will look into how industry, from drones and regulations to automotive and insurance, is using data (or not), just how important and disruptive it can be, and why there will be an explosion of opportunities for those who can make sense of, and money from, all this data.
