Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia’s (ISANS) two-year project on Moving-Up Underemployed Professional Immigrant Women will be concluding this February.
ISANS is hosting a forum to share an overview of the project, strategies for employers and human resources professionals to implement change, and ‘tools’ to help improve their workplace practices.
Professional immigrant women will speak about their experiences, and champion employers in the region will give testimonials and talk about their successes hiring and ‘moving up’ immigrant women.
The Forum will feature outcomes of the project including:
- Recommendations on how to break down ‘barriers’ to professional immigrant women ‘moving up’ in their careers
- The ‘tools’ and strategies employers need to improve hiring and advancement policies
- ‘Best practices’ to make your workplace more diverse, inclusive and welcoming to immigrants
Together we can create opportunities for growth, development and support for immigrant women.
