Today, we welcomed our new Project Coordinator to the DNS Team! Sebastian Green is an enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate person, and we couldn’t be happier to have him join us! We asked Sebastian a few questions to find out a little more about him, and couldn’t resist sharing our answers.

Sebastian, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I started out in computer science and systems administration where I was exposed to the research side of new technologies, and that spurred an interest in me to learn more and to involve myself with this industry. I then moved to architectural engineering where I specialized in 3D laser scanning and modelling. Seeing my surroundings in the form of 3D data really interested me and engaged my creative side. I loved sharing new technology and visualizing data in a way not seen before. Tech has always been a part of what I do so I am excited to become a bigger part of this awesome industry!

Ok, we’ve got to know – why tech? What are you most looking forward to about working in this ever-changing, ever-evolving industry?
I have always been interested in the effect technology has on changing our environment and how we think about the future. Everyday there are new ways technology is being implemented into our lives, and I love to look at the connection between how emerging tech can shape the future and grow our communities. I am especially interested in technology related to the built environment like augmented reality and projection mapping. The concept of 3D space is different for everyone and it’s amazing to see how some technologies can change peoples perception and the way they experience their environment. I always loved the look on peoples faces when I showed them a space they are familiar with in a new way. I look forward to finding out about local businesses that do incredible things with tech and are pushing the boundaries right here in Nova Scotia.
